With only a handful of working days left in 2021, don’t miss the opportunity to benefit MCCL with a special year-end gift for taxable benefit. Your support will enable MCCL to reach more and more Minnesotans with the pro-life message. Together, we can change hearts and minds, support women in need, and save unborn lives!
Please consider the following ways to support pro-life education through the MCCL Education Fund.
CARES Act
The universal charitable dedication for cash gifts has been extended for 2021 with the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act.
Individuals who take the standard deduction—which is what most income-tax filers do—can also claim an additional deduction of up to $300 for cash donations to charities this year. For married couples filing jointly and not itemizing, the deduction limit is $600.
This "above the line" tax incentive expires after December 31, 2021, and is available for cash gifts to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations like the MCCL Education Fund.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of stock may offer you more tax advantages than a cash gift. You may be eligible for a tax deduction and not have to realize any capital gains on donated stock. Please check with your financial advisor, and remember stock gifts can take a few business days to process. Use the following information to transfer assets:

Gifts from an IRA
If you are 70.5 or older and have a traditional IRA (Individual Retirement Account), consider your Required Minimum Distribution (or RMD) in making a charitable gift to support MCCL. A QCD (Qualified Minimum Distribution) must be made directly from your IRA Custodian to Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life.
Gifts from Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
If you have a donor advised fund, please consider recommending the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life Education Fund (tax ID: 51-0164086) as a recipient.
You Make It Possible!
For more information about any of these options, contact the MCCL office at 612-825-6831 or email Jan Ochsner, MCCL Development Director, at jochsner@mccl.org. Please note that the MCCL office will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 27 and Dec. 31.
Thank you for your expedited year-end gift to MCCL. You make all of our pro-life work possible! With your compassion and faithful support, we can make the future safe for everyone.
